Achieving “SALEs”: Considerations for Tech Integration for Scalable Learning

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Scalable Advanced Learning Ecosystems (SALEs) have been proposed that integrate learning and learner management, immersive content, AI-driven personalized learning, and analytics. At the core of SALEs is the integration of multiple technology systems with an aim toward providing a seamless experience for the student. In this session, the presenters will provide information from an NSF-funded workshop and subsequent forthcoming publications on what educators should consider for course and program design, standards, ethics, and institutional preparation when considering scaling up online learning to large populations of students. Session attendees will have the opportunity to learn about and discuss the use of identity standards, application integration, comprehensive learner records, and privacy management. Active participation in the discussion will be encouraged.
