In the world of data pipelines, humans are the bottleneck. Caliper as a data standard for educational activity stream data lets us bypass the bottleneck to create pipelines that can feed insights and action in near-real time. Caliper can be used as the target data format for student information system (SIS) and activity stream data - combining the two into an actionable data set which can confidently be streamed directly to decision makers (students, instructors, advisors, and administrators).
