Actionable Learning Analytics: Reaching Students Via Performance Insights

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Join the presenters as they dissect an instantiation of actionable learning analytics across campus. They will share lessons learned throughout the development and implementation of a successful custom learning analytics tool for faculty to act on insights from the LMS data. Building a tool for faculty and students is only the beginning, the hardest part is to get them to adopt and keep communication channels open on what they need in the pursuit of successful teaching and learning experiences via informed insights. Attendees will learn about strategies used to engage faculty in the actual definition of the feature set and their guidance in the implementation of the tool to bring efficiencies in their efforts to ensure the success of their students in the course. An opportunity for attendees and presenters to discuss the type of standards needed to enable data-centric technologies will be provided.
