Designing Adaptive Flexible Lessons

Between 8 and 3 years ago, the majority of the USA districts embarked in 1:1 learning models. At the beginning, there was a reliance on a large number of independent apps, and about 3 years ago, the adoption of learning platforms soared along with an interest in and desire to use interoperability standards to provide a more coherent ecosystem and control data. Today, we seek to implement more advanced uses of the technology to individualize student learning. In Harford, a group of early adopter teachers are designing flexible lessons that provide different options to students based on pre-assessments, and interim outcomes. Join us for (1) a brief description of how that is going and how it is impacting other teachers (2) a 5 min. demo and (3) a conversation/Q&A about how this is moving us closer to a truly transformational learning environment.
