K-20 Forum: Leadership Groups Discuss Highest Priorities for IMS
This session is for institutional attendees from a  higher education institution, K-12 school district, or state agency.

The K-20 forum will be a series of panel discussions (with audience input). As a fast paced opportunity to engage in discussions about what priorities IMS should be working across K-20, panelists represent a variety of perspectives.

Agenda
3:30 - 4:00 pm Paradigm Shift: Connecting Academic and IT Leadership To Evolve an Institutions Digital Ecosystem
Increasingly we are seeing a blurring of boundaries between IT and Academic roles across K-20. What does this mean for governance and how do you navigate the internal dynamics? What are the success factors for those that have walked this path to help those just getting started and how can IMS help support this connection?

4:00 - 4:30 pm Data Architecture and Analytics: Building a Roadmap to Success
Institutions across K-20 generally know what they would like to achieve with analytics, but admit they are not where they want to be. What do institutions need to achieve their goals? What do existing IMS solutions not currently do that prevents them from being as useful as they should be? What’s the delta between K-12 and HED that we need to address?

4:30 - 5:00 pm One Size Does Not Fit All: What Do We Mean by Adaptive Instruction and Personalized Learning?
Institutions across K-20 agree that one-size fits all instruction is a thing of the past, but getting to the future comes with challenges. What do we mean by adaptive instruction and personalized learning? What is the big picture problem we’re trying to solve?
